# save()

Saves to the current `.sls` path. Same as File > Save.

If the scene was never saved, the error is `no_path`. No file dialog appears. When only an `.idt` is open, the call does not overwrite that `.idt` and returns `not_sls`. Saving an Init Dummy is not this call.

### Signature
```python
api.save() -> result
```

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `ok` | True on success. |
| `error` | Failure code. Empty on success. The path is not included. |
| `no_path` | There is no current path. Use `save_as`. |
| `not_sls` | The current document is not an `.sls`. |
| `no_data` | There is no mesh to save. |
